The first finds of grape pips in the area are Iberian, which corroborates that viticulture was practised in the Utiel-Requena region as early as the 7th century B.C.. Proof of this are the Iberians important deposits are found throughout the region, highlighting the beater in El Molón en Camporrobles, Las Pilillas in Requena and Kelin  in Caudete de las Fuentes.

Also noteworthy was the significant historical and artistic heritage focused primarily on medieval architecture and Utiel Requena, where you can get lost in medieval times underground tunnels and walled enclosures and walk their neighborhoods Mudejar.
